The Rockford All-Star Comedy Jam Stars George Willborn from Soul 106.3’s Michael Baisden Show. One of the top nationally syndicated radio shows in the America. George first graced the stage back in 1987. Dubbed comedy’s stress reliever. In 1992 George became the host of Chicago’s All Jokes Aside, one of the nations most popular comedy clubs. Since then George’s comedy career has exploded. George has been seen on BET’s Comic View, Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central, MTV, and was the winner of TV One’s “Who’s Got Jokes” comedy competition in season one.
Also starring Donnell Rawlings from the Dave Chappelle Show. You've seen him as "Ashy Larry", the 70's jheri curled "Beautiful", and numerous other characters he's played. Donnell is the franchise player Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan wanted as a writer and prime time player on their team. Donnell was also asked to step into the huge shoes Dave left behind, and host the Lost Episodes on Comedy Central. He has appeared on the award winning Law & Order series, Special Victims Unit (SVU) and Criminal Intent (CI) and has also appeared on CBS Third Watch and the Emmy award winning HBO Special: The Corner.
Feature spot comedienne is Kellye Howard. One of Chicago’s fastest rising stars in the comedy circuit. Kellye has appeared on “Hot Girls of Comedy” with Pauley Shore on TBS. She was also the opener for Katt Williams during the taping of American Hustler. Kellye has worked with Jamie Foxx, Anthony Anderson, Chris Spencer, and even Christian Artists such as Pastors Jamal Bryant and Otis Moss. Kellye has performed at Laffapalooza, Bay Area Comedy Competition, and even the Get Right or Die trying Super Conference Part one and two.
Hosting the All-Star Comedy Jam will be comedian Meechie Hall. Meechie got his comedy start on Chicago’s South Side. He became the host of Deray’s Harlem Nights at Riddles Comedy Club, & has performed at colleges & clubs all over the country. Meechie has also made several appearances on BET’s Comic View, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza, and most recently landed on Soul 106.3 radio every Saturday. Meechie has also landed roles in many famed independent films & comedy sketches.
This All-Star line up is definitely a MUST SEE show for any fan of comedy!
